A BIT ABOUT ME

My name is Babs (Barbora Jones) the owner and founder of Fitness by Babs. Personal training and group fitness training company from Epsom, Surrey.

I have always loved sports and movement and I've always done some kind of exercise, but after having my daughter it was harder than ever before, to return to my previous physical and mental health. I had to push myself more and felt a bit lost at times. I felt there is still not enough help for well anybody, especially if the gyms are a bit intimidating for you or if you are pregnant or have a child... So that is how I then discovered just how passionate I am about helping others through fitness, movement, wellbeing and nutrition.

My aim is not to stop you enjoying your life, and just drill exercise and cut out all the food etc you like. My aim is to help you bit by bit to get where you would like to be to enjoy your life  - not just for the this summer, but for whole life!

I do specialise in pre and post natal, kids and teens fitness and I am qualified nutritional couch and mental health first aider. At the moment to top up my courses, I am just working through menopause qualification.

I absolutely love my job and love helping people (adults. Teens and kids) to become happier, stronger, healthier selves. It is really exciting to use all my knowledge to help my clients on their journey to become healthier and happier, as our physical and mental wellbeing is so very much important! But in recent years seems to decline. Especially after covid and its restrictions.

And the best reward for me is to watch them grow, step by step reaching their personal little or big goals. Or even changing their goals as they grow into it. No matter if it is new mum trying to find/understand her "new" body after having a baby or if it is male who just have enough of the sitting by computer hunched back and little belly, or child or teens who forgot slightly what is movement or is too much fixed on body image :)

I myself love lifting heavy weights, a bit of HIIT a bit of CrossFit,…functional exercise, yoga. I have done some little fitness challenges(like 1000 burpees in one day)… I also absolutely love snowboarding, skying, swimming,...and even though I am not build for long distance run, but I do little run each week, 5k most of the time- up to 10k, which just shows you that your body is capable of anything you want to achieve.
